Why Does SPS Commerce Send Generic Data when Testing?

For most testing,  SPS Commerce sends customized item information on their test documents, however, the location information for ship to and ship from is often generic.  The reason for this is to ensure that test orders are not mistakenly shipped.  This has happened in the past and can cause issues for both trading partners so we do this to try and avoid any confusion.

The testing item information is supplied by each supplier and should be sent within 5 business days from receiving the email from your testing analyst.  If you need more time than the 5 business days allotted, please contact your SPS Commerce analyst to set up a future start date as your testing analyst will send test documents with generic item information after 5 business days have elapsed.  The analyst can update the test documents with your item information at any time.
