Why does Cabela's require me to send a Purchase Order Acknowledgement document?

I've been advised that I need to fill out a Purchase Order Acknowledgement in order to process my Cabela’s Purchase Orders. What is the purpose of this document?

The Purchase Order Acknowledgment (POA) allows suppliers to confirm receipt and acceptance of a Cabela’s Purchase Order (PO)/Purchase Order Change (POC). The POA is also used to communicate any exceptions or requested changes to the PO/POC.

The POA document is located via Next Steps from your Cabela’s PO. All Cabela’s POs require a POA to be sent within 48 business hours of receiving the PO/POC.
