My trading partner is requiring me to send a Request for Pickup or Appointment (RPA) document. Can you please help me understand what this document is used for?

Similar to a Request for Routing (753), the RPA (857) is a document that allows suppliers to specify pick-up details, such as size of trailer, ship quantity, ship-from location, weight, cube, and pallet type. Since Canadian Tire coordinates their own pick-ups, this document is used to coordinate optimize the shipment of goods.

The correct procedure is to contact Canadian Tire Product Flow dept. at ucicc@cantire.com. They will either make changes internally or send an authorization email to the supplier to allow SPS to reopen the purchase order so that a new RPA can be submitted.

Great catch Bev, thank you for pointing that out!  This is a great reminder - I will do a quick audit and update as many areas as I can find :)

Thank you!
