We are already exchanging EDI using the 4010 standard. What is the benefit of upgrading to 4030? Where is the comparison between the two versions which may highlight what has changed in 4030?

Hi Paul,

That is a great question.  The difference between EDI versions such as 4010 and 4030 are minor version changes to the specifications. Let's say you have working translation for some messages for release 4010. If you want to upgrade to 4030 you will notice only a few changes between the version specifications; and if you want to upgrade to a release 5010 you might need to make a lot of modifications to current translation.

What has changed between the 4010 and 4030 versions will be specific to the trading partner.  Is there a particular trading partner you are referring to? If you have specific questions regarding that trading partner I can get you in touch with our Retail Services team.
