Unable to generate UCC-128 labels. Java Applet stalls after launch. What are the recommended settings for IE9 and what version of java is suggested for use with this site?

Machine currenty running Windows 7 and IE9 with Java version 7 update 25.

Hi Mark,

Running Windows 7 with Java version 7 update 25 should be no problem. It is difficult to determine what else might be preventing your UCC-128 labels from loading. Be sure that you are using either Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

Do you see a prompt to activate the Java plugin when trying to load the labels? If so, make sure and activate it. There may be an issue with the data filled out on the ASN form (if you are getting a gray screen). Or there may be an issue with the installation of Java, in which case I would recommend that you uninstall and reinstall Java.

Feel free to take a look at this video, for some more troubleshooting steps. If those do not resolve the issue, then please call us at 1-888-739-3232, option 1 for WebForms, and an analyst will be happy to investigate one-on-one.

Thanks!

Bryan, thanks for the suggestions, it looks like this may be an issue with the ASN form, as we are getting a gray screen.

Any suggestion as to what I need to do to resolve this? If not I can call and we can investigate one on one.

Hi Mark,

The gray screen is most often caused by a discrepancy between the quantity of items shipped and the quantity per carton. You will want to make sure that your item quantities are correct and that the quantity shipped is evenly divisible by the quantity per carton for each item. For example, if a given item is showing as 20 quantity shipped, but the quantity per carton is 12, then the system will not be able to produce labels, since 20 is not evenly divisible by 12.

I hope that helps! If not, please feel free to call our support line at 1-888-739-3232, option 1 for WebForms, or start a live chat session by clicking on "Start Support Session" in the upper right corner of this page, and an analyst will be happy to assist.

Well, that isn't it. I get a grey screen directly after the java applet is clicked to run. I never get the opportunity to input any information at all. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Java version 7 Update 25 several times and still cannot get this to work. I will call the support line sometime today or tomorrow as time permits.
