submitting 855 out of stock

How do I correctly submit an 855 when one SKU is out of stock?

 The vendor informed me that "the 855 needs to reflect the original order, and then once the order has been acknowledged you can change the order to delete any items that are out of stock. The 855 that was submitted acknowledges only the two items that are in stock, leaving off the out of stock item"

It sounds like your trading partner has specific preferences regarding the way you submit 855 documents. Typically, the 855 would be a great opportunity to indicate that one item on the order won't be fulfilled; however, if your trading partner has asked that you do otherwise, I would defer to their preferences.
