The ASN for Grainger PO# 4614068758 was submitted using data from a different PO by mistake. How can it be resubmitted using the correct data?

Greetings,

Once a document has been sent from the WebForms account it cannot be edited or deleted.  In an occurrence like this you will want to recreate and resend the document.  However, it is always best practice to notify your trading partner before doing so.

So I should recreate the asn by going to "New Document" and create it from scratch, is that the correct proceedure?

Hi Ed,

With Grainger, you will want to reach out and advise of this incorrect ASN sent and see if they would like another ASN or how they would like to proceed.  Their system is sensitive and it is required that they approve a new ASN prior to creating this.

If they would like you to recreate, please notify me on this post and I can allow you to do so.

Hi Jordan,

I have the same question but in regards to a Canadian customer of ours, Forzani Group. We used to be able to submit as many ASNs as we wanted on a single PO. Should we reach out to them in order to adjust the ASN, they have been fine with this in the past.

Thanks,

Sean

Sean,

Great question!  Forzani Group does not have such tight restrictions, requiring authorization and resets on our end to create a new ASN.  That being said, we always recommend reaching out to your Trading Partner (Forzani in this case) to notify them of the incorrect ASN.

Does that help?

So how would I re-submit? I used to be able to just click the 'Next Steps' button and enter the new ASN but for some reason it now has a strike through it.

Thanks!

Sean,

It looks like the "Done" checkbox in the lower-left hand side of the ASN was checked.  This will remove the option to create a new ASN.  I advise not using this unless you are worried you use this as a check to ensure you do not create multiple ASNs.

I have opened the option and you should be able to create a new ASN now.

Perfect it is working now! We used the Auto Complete form and submitted via that option. I guess that the "Done" option is an automatic feature when using Auto Complete?

Glad to hear that!  The "Done" checkbox should not get checked when using auto-complete.  I have not seen  hat before and just tested a few scenarios on my end.  Definitely let me know if it does this to you again!

Hi Jordan,

I submitted an improper ASN and need to create a new one, after alerting the client what is the next step to be able to resubmit an ASN. This order will not appear in create a new document and the Ship Notice selection is grey'd out from the options.

Good morning Stephen,

Sounds like you have a good grasp on this process - hats off to you.  What is the PO number?  The ASN option can be crossed off for a few different reasons, but with this PO number, I will be able to make the option available as well as provide you with an explanation as to why it is crossed off.

Thank you,

Jordan
