Announcing an update to RSX Certified and RSX Reviewed Documents

RSX version 7.5.1 has been released and is available on the SPS Dev Center.  The release extends the capabilities of the Retail Standard XML (RSX) by adding approximately 600 new qualifiers across all RSX certified and RSX reviewed documents.  These changes increase the soundness of data exchange as well as enhance your user experience and facilitate compliance with Universal Network trading partners.

Previous versions, including 7.4.2 and 7.4.1 have been updated.  Since each version has a unique set of qualifiers, please check the release notes for the specific version you're currently implementing.  These qualifiers expand your possible trading partner domain.  If your current Universal Network trading partner relationships do not change, the set of qualifiers you send or receive will not change.

For the updated RSX ersion 7.5.1, Orders, Order Acks, and Order Change documents received new qualifiers specific to those business transactions.

Multiple elements in Credit Debit Adjustments, Order Status Reports, Warehouse Shipping Advices, Warehouse Transfer Shipment Advices, and Warehouse Shipping Orders have been set to optional in all versions in order to relax the requirements for mandatory fields.

'Floor Ready' was added to Item Registries in version 7.5.0.

Reference information group in version 7.2.0 for Purchase Order Acks, Purchase Orders, Purchase Order Change Acks, and Purchase Order Changes was changed to only allow one repetition of each element in that group.  Previously, it was possible to send an unbounded number of elements in that group.

In addition, we released an RSX standard for the SPS Commerce Item Management Service.  This is a complete product management solution that eases new item setup and ongoing maintenance processes between retailers and suppliers by providing a single location for the storage and access to consistent, up-to-date product information.

If you have any additional questions about what the changes mean for you or are looking for additional collaboration, feel free to post them below.  To receive continued updates on Dev Center & RSX, please follow our Dev Center & RSX category.
