Hi we got this email notice from SPS.  Can you walk us through how to figure out if we are already using a DNS record or not?  We're a small start up, don't have an IT dept.

Beginning on June 19th, 2015, using an IP address to connect via FTP to SPS Commerce will no longer be supported. Please update your connection and firewall rules to use the following DNS records: ftp.spscommerce.net, ftps.spscommerce.net, sftp.spscommerce.net.  You can make this change any time before June 19th, 2015.  If you are already using the DNS record, there is no action required on your part.
If you are not using an SPS Commerce hosted FTP connection, please disregard this notice.

Good morning Marcia!

The answer to this would depend on what FTP client you're using to pull/drop files to/from our FTP server. Within each FTP client, there should be options as to how you choose to connect to our FTP site. Instead of connecting based off of IP address (which is specific), we're asking that you connect via DNS (or the websites listed above).

If you're not connecting to SPS via an FTP connection, nothing will need to be done on your side as a result of this change.

Please let me know if you have any further questions, or feel free to contact our services team if you have more specific questions about your FTP client.

Have a great day!
