We now have scanners to input the UPS Tracking # into the "Bill of Lading" field on all Sears ASN's.  The field is only limited to 17 characters and the BOL is 18.  Please see if you can expand the field to accommodate the full tracking number.  EX:  PO350503

Hello,

Thank you for posting to the Support Center!

This is for the Sears RIM connection you have and I looked into the specs from Sears and found:

If the Bill of Lading number sent is the 17-digit VICS (retail)
Standardized Bill of Lading, Sears will be able to accept this. If the
Bill of Lading number sent is not the Standardized BOL, then the
number must be between 2 and 12 characters.

So, there are many retailers that have a max of 30 characters for the BOL number but, for Sears RIM, they have stated specifically that the BOL number must be sent in the 17 digit VICS format or it must be between 2 and 12 characters long.

If you are having troubles with this specification, you may be experiencing a unique situation and I would recommend reaching out to Sears to determine what they would recommend for a best practice for this.

We create the forms and the restrictions on the forms per the retailer's requests and I'm not sure how Sears would prefer to proceed with this.

Thank you,
