An ASN was receive by Toys R Us with information that needs to be corrected in one field. I see that we cannot put an ASN back in drafts and correct and resend. Why is that? The ASN cannot be sent until the carrier picks up because there is info needed from the trailer to input in the ASN.

If there are any corrections to be made, with your WebForms, we would have to recreate the ASN which would create new carton label#s. These would now not match what is going to be received by the customer.

Most customers ask the vendors to correct and resend documents with errors. How can your system not have the ability to do that, or am I missing something? We have our own EDI system in place that we also use and that has the ability to resend an EDI document. You need that function if it is not there I assume it is not as I see many questions going back years asking how to correct and resend documents.

We need to recreate the ASN with the exact same carton #s. Please let me know if that is possible.

Hello Kevin,

Thank you for your post!

It is possible to recreate ASNs using the container IDs from a previous ASN, however it is not an option available on all forms.

If you can provide the PO number as it appears in your Webforms Account and ASN number in question I would be happy to take a look and get that option added if it is not already there.

We do also recommend that you do not send your ASN until all the information has been included. The Webforms portal will allow you to create an ASN and print labels from a saved draft before you have carrier and trailer information. That information can then be added to the saved draft before the ASN is sent.

I will be able to provide more specific instructions on how to recreate the ASN once I have the PO number and ASN number.

Thanks!
Allison

I think this little check box here is your answer.  It saves your previous numbers and you can then resend.       Good luck!

Perfect. Thank you very much. I figured there had to be a way to recreate an ASN using the original carton #s. My confusion came from some of the previous support questions as well as speaking to some support staff in the past that said it could not be done.

We have recreated the ASNs with the correct carton # and all seems to be good.

Thank you.
