PO description field is blank

When I receive POs from certain vendors, the description line item comments field is always blank; for other vendors, it has some sort of text description for the item so I don't have to cross reference the UPC or SKU each time. Is there a way I can update this so that POs received have a text description. Thanks!

Thank you for posting in the Support Center!

Since your company uses our Web Product, we display for you exactly what your retailer sends us. Unfortunately, we don't have a way to populate this information specifically for your product since your retailer's forms are used by all their vendors on our network. If your retailer does not send us this information, we can't populate it on your POs.

We do offer integrated solutions where we would integrate with your system, and in those connections, you have much more control over the data you receive. If this were the case, we would be able to add cross-references to populate this information. You can speak to your account executive, Sarah, about opportunities for an integrated connection. Hi Allie,

When the retailer is submitting the PO, what is that field called? I can ask our contact to fill in this space with a brief description if I'm articulating what that looks like on their end.

For each retailer, the name of this field can be different, but they should all know what you mean by item description!
