Documents can error for a large variety of reasons.  Below are the most common errors we come across, an example of what the error might look like on your document, and how to resolve the issue.  If you do come across an error and are not sure how to resolve it, please feel free to contact us.

Error:   Document erred due to invalid date

Example:   12/19/0013

Resolution:  Use the date drop-down menus to select your date.  This will ensure that your date has the correct formatting to pass your trading partner's specs.

Error:  Invalid character in a field

Example:   `ABC Company

Resolution:   Always scan back over your forms to ensure you haven't entered invalid characters such as ( ` ).  This is a common error we see when tabbing across the fields on a form.

Error:   Duplicated data entry

Example:   Invoice Number: 1234512345

Resolution:   If you use the copy paste function to copy data into your WebForms document, it will duplicate the paste.  This is a known issue being worked on by our development team.  There is an alternative solution which allows you to paste in your data just one time.  To do this, simply copy as you normally would, but instead of using 'CTRL' + V, press and hold the 'SHIFT' button and then while holding shift down, push the 'INSERT' key generally located above the arrows on your keyboard.
