When entering the ASN, is it necessary to enter the tracking numbers for each package? We use both UPS and FedEx for shipping orders with multiple cartons, each with its own tracking number.

Hi Roland,

Thank you for your post!  That can depend on a few different factors.  Would you be able to provide me with the type of ASN you are using and which trade partner this is for?  I will take a look at the specifications we have on file and see if I am able to find anything.  Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

Hi Fred,

I am not sure about the type of ASN we are using (my apologies), but it is for a dropship order. Our trade partner is Lamps Plus.

Hi Roland,

No worries about the ASN type!  I took a look at the ASN in your account and it looks like they only have one field for the tracking information.  I found the following information regarding the tracking number:

"Parcel Carrier Package # must be used when shipment is being moved by a Parcel Carrier (UPS, USPS ..). Carrier Pro # must be used when shipment is being moved by a Common Motor Carrier. Lamps Plus Shipment Control# must also be used if your shipment is contains more than 50 cartons. This is the number that you would receive from Lamps Plus when you call for an appointment to the Warehouse."

That leads me to believe that you would only need to enter one tracking number for the shipment.  I would like to confirm this before you send any documents, though.  I will be reaching out to you and Lamps Plus shortly via email.
