Hello,

Thank you for posting in the Support Center!

There are a few things to note with any java question:

The first is that java asks you to update the version every time it comes out with a new one, which is quite often.  You do not have to update.  You can select from the options to do it another time or with the next release.  We recommend updating once every year or six months.

On the other hand, if you would like to update your java we recommend uninstalling it from your computer completely and then installing the newest version.  Plus, you can always call the Support Line and we can help you go through that process.

Finally, we realize this many updates has become a burden to our customers.  We have spent the last few years developing a platform that removes the need for java maintenance by our customers.  The new platform was launched to our alpha and beta testing this fall and then spring and so far the feedback has been wonderful!  We are aiming to release it to the general customer base by the end of 2016 and remove the java need once and for all.

Thank you,

SPS Commerce Infinite Retail Power
