I have a user that is using Java 8 Update 51. When the user tries to open "Next Steps and the "Packing slip" or really anything in the window Java will crash and he will have to start the whole process over again. Restarting Fire Fox, logging into SPS re downloading and removing Java and reinstalling and then all will work for a few days and then stop working again. I have cleared the users Cache deleted all temp files (manually as well) Cleared all Cookies (Manually as well) ran Java updates on his machine, scanned for viruses, added and exception for SPS in Java security.. I am not sure what else to try at this point..

Thanks

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your post!

It sounds like there may be an issue with the way the Java version you are using installed on the computer. Here are a few things to try:

1. Go to Java.com and click "do I have java?" to verify that the version is working correctly. If FireFox crashes when you try that please try #2.

2. I would try completely removing java from the machine, and starting fresh. Go to the control panel on your computer and access the "add or remove programs" menu. You should uninstall any java versions you see there, whether it is one or more than one. Once you do not see any java listed in your control panel please go to the program files (and program files x86 if you have it) on your computer and ensure that java is not listed there. If you see any folders titled "java" please delete them and move to #3.

3. Go to Java.com and install a clean version of java by clicking the "Free Java Download" button and following the prompts. Once it is installed close your browser, reopen it, and go to Java.com and repeat #1.

If this does not work it may be best for you to contact our support team via phone so that we can connect on a screen share to see what else might be causing the issue you are having.

I hope this helps!

Allison
