java update

SPS keeps telling me before every transaction that I need to update to latest version of java (8.73).  I have installed the update numerous times.  Uninstalled it, re-installed it.  Installed it by going to java.com, installed it by the link in SPS.  Really slows down the process.

I get this every time, even when I do update it is only days until I need to re-update.

Thank you for posting in the Support Center!

The Java updates can be an adventure.  What I would recommend is, if it asks you to do the update, tell it to remind me later and do not do the update if everything is working.  Java updates come out quite often and they prompt the browser to let you know about them, but they are not necessary unless the forms stop being able to load up.

The good news is that moving away from Java has been something we are working on as a company for quite sometime now and we are in the final stages of testing a new Fulfillment product that will eliminate this issue.

We know it can not come fast enough as this can be quite a hassle over time.  We do not have a timeline for general launch yet, however, we are aiming for this fall.

If you keep getting error messages, and you are in Internet Explorer, one option is to switch over to FIreFox as, once that is up and running, it is the most stable browser for the platform.

If you are experiencing an issue, another option is to call the Support Team and they can troubleshoot the specifics of what may be causing this on your computer.
