We have users that use FireFox and can't open the forms. Example when trying to do a Certified POA. It seems like the JAVA does not load. Any Ideas?

Hi Dan!

Thank you for your post! There are a couple of troubleshooting steps we can try to get those forms to load. First I recommend you check to make sure the 'plug-ins' are enabled. You can read this article, here and it will walk you through how to check that!

If that doesn't do the trick, please check that you have the most up to date version of java, I believer we are currently on Java 8 Update 45. You can check this by going to your Control Panel->
Programs->Uninstall a program to see the list of programs and Java
versions.

If your java is not up to date, please uninstall (right click on the java version within the control panel>programs>uninstall a program, and then right click and choose uninstall. Once that is complete, you can go to www.java.com to download the newest version of Java!

Please let me know if these steps did no work for you and I will be happy to further assist!

Thank you!

Kelsey

Hi Sean

Thank you for your post!  Do you have a red lego-block in the upper left?  Hard to see, but shown in this picture:

Great, thank you for confirming!  I have a couple further clarifying questions below:

1) Did you recently update your Java?  What we see when updating Java is that completely removing the previous version(s) on your computer prior to updating works best.  At times, the multiple versions will interfere with each other.

2) Did you download Java in Firefox?

Thank you

1) I didn't have Java installed on this computer before hand I was prompted to download it. So it's the latest version as of last night, 6.5.15 at 5pm

2) Yes I did

Again, I appreciate your help!  Do you mind trying the following to ensure the Java console runs?

(XP)Control Panel -> Java

(Windows 7) Control Panel -> Programs -> Java

Make sure that in the Security Tab - Java is enabled in the browser. Also turn on the Java Console in the Advanced Tab.

Did you also "Show Console"?  Once you have done this, you will want to try to load a form again and see if the console pops up.

I applaud your efforts!  No, you should not always have to do this.  If Java gives you trouble again, feel free to post and we can get you on a desktop share with an analyst who can take a closer look.

Sorry for your troubles, happy Friday!
