Happy Monday and happy new year, SPS community!

I am hoping that someone can help me to finally resolve this challenge that we have been struggling with for months now.

One of our customers, L.L. Bean, implemented a change in their policy late last year, requesting that we "batch" ASNs, the idea obviously being that they will only receive one ASN per shipment instead of per order. The batching function works great, especially in the new fulfillment. However, with this customer in particular we regularly have additional POs trickle out to be added.

So, the big question: Is there a way to add POs to a previously batched ASN?
We have tried everything that we can think of, and can't seem to make it work. I have talked with a couple of reps, and the only answer that I have received is the vague notion that "it is possible", accomplished by "just adding it in".

We have been holding off on creating the batch at all until we are sure that every possible order is out, as it is extremely stressful to repeat the same process multiple times, especially on the larger batches. As we come in to our busy season, this is no longer going to be a viable option. So, does anyone know if this is possible? If so, will you please walk me through the process?

Thank you very much!

Second/Bonus question: Is there a different way to locate POs to add to a batch?

We have been using the filter in the transactions tab, but due to the nature of our relationship with certain customers, we sometimes have more than the allotted maximum "100 (orders) per page" to display. This creates a whole new subset of challenges, as it makes batching incredibly frustrating and nearly impossible if a required order happens to fall on a different page.

Sorry for spamming, and thanks again for any help that you can provide!

Hello Tyler,

Thank you for posting in the Support Center!

For adding orders to a batched ASN, this is possible, but all new information will need to be added manually. Once you have a saved copy of a current batched ASN, you can open it up to edit (the pencil icon), and navigate to the "Order" tab. Once there, you should see a section that lists out orders. You can use the "+" button to add a new order. You will need to manually fill out the information for the additional order, including the packing information.

For automatic batch ASN creation, we can only automatically add orders once when the ASN is created.

For your second question, I understand the frustration. This is an issue that our development team is aware of, and we are working to get that resolved in our next few product build installations. In the meantime, please feel free to use the "Create New" function from the Overview tab (upper right-hand corner) or to locate necessary POs in WebForms to create the initial batched ASN.

Thank you,

Thank you very much for your quick and concise reply, Allie! And thanks for having me.

Unfortunately, this method is something that I thought to try right off the bat, and it does not work for us. Each time we try, we get some kind of error. I just attempted this again with a quick test run, and I get the error "Error: Cannot add more reps to this group." We have tried this, and literally everything else that we can think of, and we have never been successful, even when we think that we have devised something clever. Please advise!

I am glad that the devs team is aware and hard at work; we appreciate the update.

Thanks again,
-Tyler

Hello Tyler,

I would advise reaching out to our team privately via phone to have someone take a look at your account specifically since you are getting that error. We can be reached at (888) 739-3232, Option 1, Option 1.

Alright, I will do that.

Thanks again for the quick replies, and for walking me through how this process should typically work ;) Hopefully this can be of some help to someone else.

Have a great day!
