I have an ASN sitting in the Sent Items with the blue angled closed envelope. What does that mean? (Thanks for no mouse-over hint and no legend. I love ASKING for help)

Good afternoon Jim! Great question! The blue envelope icon indicates a document is In Transit, while a paper icon indicates an item has been Accepted by your trading partner. A red question mark would indicate an error or a rejected document.

I got logged into your WebForms account and I see an In Transit ASN 01 from 3/5. I tracked it out and I show it made it to Target's VAN successfully. I am happy to email Target on your behalf to confirm they received this ASN. As for the In Transit document from today, it is common for outbound documents to show In Transit the same day they are transmitted.

I will update you as soon as I hear back from Target, but in the meantime you are welcome to call or email us at 888-739-3232, option 1 or NIServices@spscommerce.com and reference case number 00834892. Thank you!

Thanks Hannah. I'd appreciate it if you could contact Target Canada for this. If there is a technical problem, it may go better to avoid using me as a middle man.

Hi Jim! Just wanted to let you know I sent Target Canada a follow-up email this afternoon as I have not yet heard back regarding ASN 01. As soon as they get back to me, I will let you know! Thanks for your patience.

Good morning Jim! I heard back from Target Canada today and they advised the ASN was not acknowledged as they want you to use only the Post-Distro ASN and not the Pre-Distro ASN (which is the one that was sent on 3/5). Please recreate ASN 01 as Post-Distro ASN using Next Steps from the PO, and continue to create this type of ASN in the future.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks and have a great day!

Great to know. The problem now is that we've already shipped the order with the SSCC codes created for the ASN 01. If we create a new ASN, won't new SSCC codes also get created and not match the labels already received by Target? Is the Pre-Distro 856 very different from a Post-Distro 856? Is it possible for it to be modified and retransmitted?

Hi Jim, that is a great question- yes, the barcodes would change. I can email Target again and find out if they need you to send another ASN, or if you can just change it for future transmissions.

That would be great. At this point I don't see any way of avoiding a chargeback anyway, either for missing ASN or for the fact that the SSCC's scanned in the DC don't have a matching ASN.

I understand. I wrote Target back this morning and hopefully they will give us an answer soon!

Hi Jim! Great news- I heard back from Target Canada and they advised that this can just be corrected for future transmissions. No need to worry about re-transmitting ASN 01. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Have a great day! :)
