I want to create and send an invoice in advance dated the week after so that it corresponds with the date we actually ship.  I need to create invoices ahead of time and send it because I will be out of town.  In the past, I have had error messages saying I can't do it because I sent too early.

Thank your for posting in the Support Center!

The traditionally, the best practice for sending invoices is to send them directly after the product is shipped.  However, retailer's have different policies on what they would like to happen if you send them an invoice early.

Some retailers will not allow the invoices to be sent before the ship date and have set up controls in the system to block that for happening.  Others do not have any restrictions and will accept invoices at any point.

Because it varies from retailer to retailer, I would suggest trying it, seeing if it works, and go from there.  If you are unable to send the invoices early and will be out of town at that time my suggestion is create and save the invoices so they are ready to go and then train someone in to get them sent on the shipment date.

Thank you,
