I need to be able to print the Grainger pack list.  Our EDI operations are automated so I don't need to do the other steps;  ASN, POA, etc.  Our system does these.

  • I can see how to print the pack note but  can I enter the Qty shipped before I print the pack note?
  • Should I expect the Grainger logo on the pack note or SPS Commerce logo?

Thank you for your help.

Thomas,

In regards to your question I have a couple to follow up with. I want to confirm what type of document you are wanting.
1. Pick List: For use in warehouse to have a document show what needs to be gathered for the particular order.
2. Packing Slip: This is to go into the shipping container so when it is opened a document is to be inside stating what is in the shipment. (I believe this is what you are referencing)

Sounds like you are trying to access the Packing Slip from WebForms. Off of the PO (from the next steps arrow) only the pick list will be available as this is used for gathering all the parts for the order.

The Packing Slip is generated based off of the information provided on the ASN. An ASN must be created first as information is sourced off of here to reflect exactly what was shipped. This is how the quantities would be adjusted for what was shipped. Once the ASN is created, the packing slip would be available from the next steps arrow on the ASN. This ASN would not have to be sent, however, just saved, as it also sounds like you send this from your own system.

If you have additional questions regarding this, please feel free to contact our support team at 888-739-3232 as an analyst would be happy to discuss your specific situation with you.

Thank you Ryan.  I need to print a pack slip.  So I click on the "Next Steps" triangle and then select Advanced Ship Notice from the list.  Then it says "Please Wait... your form is loading".  However, it just sits there and never comes back with anything.  Any ideas?

I am running Internet Explorer Version 11 and the latest java update.

Check out these steps by browser that I have put together!

Fire Fox: The Preferred Browser
1. Go to java.com
2.Under the big red “Download Free Version of Java” button click the small “Do I have Java?”
3. This will bring you to a new page where you will want to click “Verify Java”
4. You may be asked to activate Java. If so click on this option.
5. A run window may appear if it does not automatically verify. If this occurs, click the check box that prompts it to not ask every time and then click run.
6. Once done verifying, close your browser.
7. Re-open Fire Fox and go to your WebForms account
8. Load your form. Be mindful of a Red Lego block in the upper left hand corner of your browser near the back arrow. Click on it if it is there and set plugins to allow and remember. Do this if any sort of pop up blocker is showing in the top/bottom of your screen. If this step was needed to be taken you may need to try to re-open the form.
9. If the prompt to run comes up, please click the check box once again and click run. This may be needed to be done 2-3 times as you tell your computer that Java is safe to run.

Internet Explorer: Acceptable Browser
1. Go to java.com
2. Under the big red “Download Free Version of Java” button click the small “Do I have Java?”
7. Re-open Internet Explorer
8. If the prompt to run comes up, please click the check box once again and click run. This may be needed to be done 2-3 times as you tell your computer that Java is safe to run.

Google Chrome/Edge: Unsupported Browsers
Currently these two browsers do not support plugins. This includes Java. Please use on of the above options for the time being.

Safari: As with Chrome and Edge, we would prefer you use Internet Explorer or Fire Fox.

If these steps do not solve your issues, please call into our WebForms Fullfilment Support Team as you may be experiencing an unique issue that our team would be happy to help you resolve.

They can be contacted at 888-739-3232 option 1,1

My problem is that I was assuming that since our ASN is automated that I did not need to physically add the lines to the draft ASN.  So basically I saved a draft of the ASN and then clicked the Print Pack Slip button.  It would open an new browser tab and not show anything.  Obviously because the ASN did not have any detail.  I would HIGHLY recommend a validation that tells the user that they must have line detail before view the packing slip.  Much better than an empty page and nothing happening.  Thank you so much for your support.
