I am trying to create a invoice using the free form available for Wal-Mart/Sam's club, but I am at a loss once I reach the item screen. I added a line but I don't know what I should be entering in for all of the product codes and the pack and inner pack and they seem to be required. I am hoping someone can help guide me through this section. Thank you!

Hello Katie,

When you create a Free Form Invoice it can get a bit tricky to get all that information together.

Do you have a PO that was transmitted in a different way?  Perhaps through the mail or over the phone. I would start with looking at the information they gave you when they ordered the items.  It would give you some insight into the identification numbers they are using.  (If they are using UPC codes or SKUs).

To determine what the pack size and inner pack numbers are you will have to look at the items and just see what makes sense to communicate.  These forms are used for every supplier so there are times where there is an exception to the rule or it doesn't quite fit.  If this is one of those times, you will need to put in the information that makes the most sense.

Finally, I would reach out to Walmart and ask them both any specific questions about how they would like the the information put into the invoice, but also if the have any best practices they would recommend for you.

I hope this helps and allows you to start the invoice, but I would recommend reaching out to Walmart to ensure you are communicating the information they need for their system as it applies to your business.

Thank you,
Katrina
