How do I edit a PO Acknowledgement I already confirmed? I entered the incorrect number of units and now need to enter the correct number of units.

Good Morning Julie,

I just have a few additional questions so I can do a bit of researching on my end.  Have you already sent the PO Acknowledgement?  Are you able to provide me with the trading partner are working with?

Hi Paul. The trading partner is Micro Center and yes the PO Acknowledgement was already sent yesterday, their PO# 90351.. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hi Julie,

I apologize for the delay in response.  I would potentially do two things in that situation.  Since we cant stop the document as it has already processed in the system, I would first reach out to Micro Center and make them aware of the issue.  In a lot of cases the trading partner can make the simple change on their end for your so you do not need to send a new one.  They may also delete it from their system and advise you to send a new one in which case I can make sure the option is still available via next steps.

If you do need to send an additional one to them, please let me know so I can make sure that is an available option for you via the next steps window.

Very frustrating when you have a typo on a RPA and you have to spend the whole day going through SPS and the customer just to get it fixed. Major downfall to having SPS. Its almost 2015 and you have no solution for this?????

Hi Kathy,

I am sorry to hear you are upset with the process.  The reason we are unable to edit a sent document is due to the fact that the document has entered your Trading Partner's system.  By sending a new (revised) document, many Trading Partner's systems are unsure what to do with both documents.  Oftentimes, when you contact your Trading Partner regarding an incorrect document sent, they remove this document from their system - thus allowing you to send a new (revised) document.  It is beyond our control what your Trading Partner does with this document (ie. Import into numerous applications).

I know that this explanation does not alleviate the pain when a document must be corrected, I simply wanted to provide you with background as to why this is the case.

I agree with you that this can be quite frustrating, and if a solution could be reached, it would prevent headaches all around.

That's fine but is there a way to edit the document and re-send it?  I find it very time consuming to have to create a whole new PO and enter all the order info and product items over again.  Why can't you just open the existing PO and make changes and then send again?
