We are receiving PO's from our customer with duplicated envelope ID's even though they are for separate PO's. The duplicated envelope ID's result in our system rejecting the PO's as it sees them as having already been processed. Aren't these supposed to be unique ID's? How/Why are we getting duplicates for different orders?

Hi Rich! It looks like the orders are posting to your WebForms account, so I will notify an analyst on our Integrated Services team to take a look these orders and your integrated set up.

Thanks!

Hello Rich! Thanks for your patience. Could you please provide me with a specific example of an order that you are receiving twice into your integrated setup? The date and time of these duplicates would also be helpful. Once I have this information, I can take a further look to see if these orders are transmitting twice.

Thank you!

There are multiple examples of this on this particular day I can provide if needed.
Thanks,

Thank you for your patience Rich! The logic within that message ID is based on the date/time. Since these separate orders came within that exact same time period, the message ID produced was the same. If you would like, I would be happy to request the possibilities of making this more unique. Please do not hesitate to let me know!

For our system the message ID's must be unique (I thought that was the purpose of the message id, a unique identifier of an individual message). Any repeats of a previously used message id cause the system to reject the new message as a duplicate. Can these be made unique?
Thanks,
Rich

Hello Rich! I have created case #00874358 to take a further look into the possibilities of making the message ID more unique. I will provide you further details on the progress of this issue through this case.

Thank you!
