A new column appeared in the csv file that was not in the prior csv files we downloaded.  Is that normal?  If we add a second trading partner will their csv file be different - different columns etc.?

Hi Larry,

That is a great question!  We have a general csv format, however certain retailers or trading partners may have custom csv downloads built out.  We do not see changes made often, however there may be changes made when changes are made to specifications of the retailer (given they have a custom format).  So in response to the second part of your question - it may be different depending on the retailer, however this is not overly common.

When you mention that there is a new column, is that a new column on the csv download for the same retailer as your previous download?  If so, who is the retailer?  I would love to take a look and see if/why changes were made.

Does this help clarify?

The retailer is Nichols.  The other retailer will be Grainger.  When we pull down a Nichols .csv a new last column appeared GTIN in the header.  So my question would be; Will the Grainger header contain a GTIN column?

Hi Larry,

I do show Grainger containing the GTIN column in the same position (CQ in Excel).

Best,

Jordan
