We spoke to our Wal-Mart Buyer and they enter a cancel date on their Purchase Orders. When we print the Purchase Order form, the cancel date does not show up in the Cancel Date window. It shows up in the "Shipping Window". For example if they key the order on 11/11/2013 with cancel date 11/13/2013, it shows up in the shipping window as 11/11/2013 - 11/13/2013, not in the Cancel Date window. Can this cancel date moved to the Cancel Date window above? Thank you.

Hi Angela! Thank you for your post! I have looked into the raw data for the Purchase Order in which you have included a screenshot, and that PO does not include a DTM*001 segment, which would designate a 'Cancel Date'. If Walmart Canada did include that segment in the PO, a cancel date would transmit on the style sheet of the PO.

For this order, the following DTM segments were included:

DTM*038*20131113
DTM*037*20131111
DTM*063*20131119

* * * * Type DTM01 (specific to Walmart Canada):
001:Cancel Date
002:Delivery Requested
007:Terms Effective Date
010:Requested Ship
037:Ship Not Before
038:Ship No Later
063:Must Arrive By Date
807:Stored Date
996:Required Delivery

Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Katelyn

Thanks for your response. I asked our supplier if he could put a cancel date in the DTM*001 sement, but he continues to say that they put the Cancel date on all POs. Do you know if this is something that they would key in, or is something automated coming from an integrated system?

I'm not exactly sure how it works from Walmart's end. I am able to see the raw data, but I'm not sure what their form or system looks like when they are inputting the information for the purchase order, or if it is automatic. Maybe the supplier could reach out to his EDI team to determine if there is another spot he could put that cancel date so it translates as the cancel date on your PO, in the DTM*001? Please let me know how SPS can assist further!
