We are integration SPS EDI in our system for a client. Below steps we are following:1. Upload a XML file to a IN folder - The file name is unique i.e PO12345.xml
2. We see XML files in the OUT folder SN_nnnnn, IN_nnnn etc

We are not able to identify the uniqueness/relation between the PO12345 in IN folder and the files in OUT folder. We understand that there may be thousands of files in OUT folder, parsing these 1000 files and downloading the files which is needed will be time consuming and will take lot of server memory.
Is there a better method or relationship between the above two?

Hi Chetan,

As you mentioned, the IN folder is used for uploading files that you need to process through our data center. The OUT folder typically contains inbound documents that are sent to you (or in this case, your client's company).

In most setups, the IN and OUT folder are not directly related since they are used for processing inbound documents that you received from our data center (OUT folder) and outbound documents that will be sent through our data center (IN folder) independently of each other. In a standard setup, files you submit to the IN folder are not transferred directly to the OUT folder.

If you'd like me to investigate this further specific to your FTP setup, I'd be happy to do so, but I would recommend submitting a case to my team with "Attention Tim" in the subject line. Here is our email address:

If you submit a ticket, please include the following:

1. Your company name
2. Your client's company name
3. Your FTP username

If you have any additional general questions about our FTP setups or capabilities, please let me know.
