I am trying to print a UPS shipping label from the Advance Ship Notice form for Grainger, but the label never appears, nor does an error message.

I have filled out the information in the ASN form and then have saved it to drafts; when I open the ASN draft and click on the UPS label generator at the top of the page, a blank page opens. Grainger requires their UPS label and pack slip are used on all of our shipments. I have been able to generate a pack slip using this method in the Advance Ship Notice, but the UPS label is not generated.

Please let me know if I am doing something wrong or if there is another method I can try. If you need any more information please let me know.

Thank you.

Hi Cody!

So looking into your existing connections with Grainger, I see you are setup for regular UCC-128 Shipping Labels, which should be accessible from your ASN Draft.  If, however, you require UPS Shipping Labels, I would encourage you to contact our Client Services team at 866-245-8100 regarding having the Carrier Integration product added to your suite of connections with Grainger.  They'll be able to get the ball rolling in the right direction towards those UPS labels.  If you actually need UCC-128 labels and are having trouble accessing these from the ASN Draft's orange arrow for next steps, then Shipping Label, please feel free to reply here, or call 888-739-3232, option 1 and ask for me, or shoot me an email at niservices@spscommerce.com, with Subject line: Attn Joe.

Thanks!
Joe

Hi Joe, thanks for getting back to me so quickly on this.

When I click the orange arrow for next steps, I only have the option for "UPS Label," there is no "Shipping Label," so it appears that UPS is already integrated? I have included a picture of what appears when I click the orange arrow in drafts for a Grainger order. Thank you.

My pleasure, Cody.  Good catch!  I looked into this further, and Grainger does not actually have a UCC-128 Shipping Label form built out for their trading partner network; I apologize for the confusion.

Grainger only has the options you see there (UPS Label, Packing Slip off the ASN, and Pick List off the Order).  In fact, this is the case for Grainger Sourcing, Grainger Parts, and FindMRO as well.  The only exception where a standard UCC-128 shipping label form is built out is off the ASN Pick and Pack (Expected) form for MSC Industrial Supply orders.  So I would clarify your needs and then act accordingly.

Packing Slip? - access from ASN Draft
Pick List? - access from Order in Inbox
UPS Label? - contact Client Services

Please let me know of any concerns!

The Packing Slip feature in ASN Drafts works fine at the moment, and I do not need a pick list.

The only thing I need is the UPS Label for Grainger orders, I do not need any for MSC. The labels do not have to be UCC-128 or any special format; I just need some kind of UPS Label from Grainger that I can put on a box for their drop shipments.

For this, should I contact Client Services? Could you please give me their e-mail and other contact information?

Thank you!
