Is there a way to batch print Target.com orders and packing slips or do I have to go and open each order individually and print packing slips and orders that way?  I'm trying to plan for 4th quarter rush and would like to know if I'm doing everything as time efficiently as I can in SPS.

Hi Mandy,

There is a way that you can mass print.  To do this, simply place a check mark in the status column next to the orders you want to print, scroll down to the bottom and look for the printer icon.  This will be the fastest way to print the orders themselves.

To mass print the packing slips follow the same process of selecting the documents you want to print the packing slip from, but instead of clicking the printer icon at the bottom, go to the select an action menu (to the left of the icon) and choose 'print labels and warehouse documents'.  This will bring up an additional pop up screen which will allow you to select packing slip (when available).

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

This is great thank you!  I will try this on Monday and let you know if I have any trouble.  I assume there is not, but there is not a blanket way to enter tracking on all orders?  Like something similar to an excel file.

Also, can you tell me if it necessary to complete a PO Acknowledgement for each PO for Target.com.  Or do they only require the ASN?

Lastly (sorry...last question).  We DO NOT give wrap.  Can we have that included in each of the ASN's so we don't have to manually type that in every time.

We expect to have up to 100 orders a day with Target.com through the holidays and every timesaving tactic helps.

Thanks!
Mandy

Hi Mandy,

There is sort of a blanket way to enter tracking for orders.  We have an 'Auto-Complete' feature that will run through and fill in the necessary information (for what it can) and leave the fields it doesn't know (like bill of lading) empty.  At the end of the auto-complete you will get a 'quick edit' screen.  This will give you a screen of all the document you just chose to auto-complete and give a table of the remaining fields to fill in.  I recommend trying this feature out as this is exactly what you are looking for.  For the first few, I would try the auto-complete, but still open the form to review it before you send it just to make sure that the data is in there the way you were expecting it to be.  Here is a training video for the auto-complete feature.

In regards to the PO Acknowledgement for Target.com, it looks as though, based on the specs, that a PO Ack (855) is required against all Purchase Orders received.  It may be best to clarify with your rep at Target to confirm just in case your company has an exception.

Last, but not least, there is a way to set defaults for documents so you can default (most fields) that are always the same (like your ship from address).  You can do this through the 'Preferences' menu or by the defaults button on the form.  If you add them from the defaults button on the form, you will have to close the form and reload it (you can save it first if you'd like) in order to see the defaults.  Here is a training video that will walk you through setting these up.

If you decide to leverage the auto-complete feature, I would recommend setting up as many defaults as you can prior to running the auto-complete.  This will help reduce the number of fields that come up in that quick edit screen and ultimately save you a few minutes on data entry in the long run.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.  We're happy to help!

Hi Paul,

Thank you, I will work on both these today.

Unfortunately, I've tried on 3 computers here in the office and we cannot get our printer/computer combo's to print the batch method for either the packing slips or orders.  Any pointers you may have.

It's printing the first order, nothing more and none of the packing slips.

Thanks!
Mandy

Hi again (sorry!)

Ok, I could "batch enter" the PO acknowledgment without a problem following the instructions you send (thank you!).  However, when I tried to complete the ASN the pop up show the image in the pic below.  Any ideas?

It may be worth noting I'm working on a new Mac Book.

Hi Mandy,

That can error can occur for a few different reasons.  Are you able to provide  a list of POs you are trying to auto complete?

That error can occur when:
  • An order in the batch you are trying to auto-complete is new, cancelled, or has a pending PO Change.
  • Permissions are not set properly for the document
  • Using Auto-complete one per source vs. just using Auto-complete
I would say the last bullet is the most common issue.  If you are needing to have one ASN per PO then you will want to choose one per source.  This will create one per PO.  If you just choose Auto-complete, it will try to put all PO's on the same ASN.  Some trading partners do not allow this which would throw the error you see above.  That error is also not PC or MAC specific so you should be okay to use either.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Is there a way to print new webforms (orders) at the same time instead of one by ....

Each time I receive 35+ orders i have to print them one by one. Please tell me i can print them all at once.
