Order details are in BOLD below:

Amazon CANADA JOIHB:  I put the "ARN" number in the Amazon Reference Number in the ASN in Webforms, and I get this error email (below).  Is this number not being mapped to Amazon Canada?  They will chargeback for this.  Please advise.

I sent an ASN for Amazon Warehouse HOFT9 that included the ARN, and it went thru A-OK.

Subject: Amazon EDI Monitoring - ASN: Data validation error (JOIHB, ASN Number: 315)

Greetings from Amazon.com,

Amazon received an Advance Ship Notice (X12 856) at approximately 2014-09-11 16:52 UTC which did not meet Amazon.com EDI specifications. Please make sure to re-transmit the ASN after correcting the issue, ensuring the re-sending of the ASN happens before the shipment arrives at the Fulfillment Center.

Below is a list of business objects associated with this message.

Vendor Name:

Johnson Health Tech NA

ASN Number:

315

PRO Number / Carrier Tracking Number / Airbill Number:

778238672

Filename:

2005

PO Number(s):

3YQM6VRG

** ERROR REPORT **

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. The ASN 315 has ARN# 976216932 REF02 (REF*BX) which is not valid. Amazon expects all EDI856s with Collect POs to have valid Amazon Reference Number (ARN) in REF*BX segment. The ARN is a reference number that Amazon generates when a shipment has been routed and a Carrier has been assigned to make a pick-up.

Action:

Please submit an updated EDI 856 with a valid ARN# (Amazon Reference Number). You must also ensure that you are sending an ASN for each ARN (ARNs cannot be combined in your ASNs). For further details on ARN please refer to the Vendor Central > Resource Center > North American Vendor Shipment Guidelines > Addendum_2-Amazon_Shipping_Process-Collect_Freight.

HI Maragaret,

When I look at the raw data I do show that ARN number going through.

REF*CN*778238672
REF*BX*946216932

According to the specs for this field, it says the ARN is either provided in the BGN06 of the 754 Routing Instructions document or via the Routing Request in Vendor Central.  Are you able to verify that 946216932 matches the number they provided to you?

Hi Paul.  I pulled the number directly from Vendor Central.  But now I see I typed 946 instead of 976. Crap.  OK.  Looks like my error.  I already submitted the ASN thru Vendor Central, so will have to wait until I have a new order to ASN to check it out.  Thanks for your help.  Don't I look stupid!

Hi Margaret,

Glad it was just a typo and certainly still worth noting to take a look at and make sure it is being mapped properly.  It's definitely important to make sure the forms are working as they should.  Let me know if you come across the issues again on a new order.  Have a great weekend!
