PO acknowledgements should not be so detailed. It is very time consuming. There should just be a link you click to click "acknowledge" and than the ASN is detailed showing any back orders, etc.

Hi Brittany!

I understand that the PO Acknowledgement can be time-consuming. I can offer a couple suggestions that should help to optimize the process.

The required information on PO Acknowledgements depends on each retailer's specifications, and certain retailers require more information than others. I see that you are currently set up to fill out PO Acknowledgements for Daimler Aftermarket-PDC. I took a look at their requirements and noticed that they allow two acknowledgment types:

  • Acknowledge - With Detail and Change

  • Acknowledge - With Detail and No Change

In both of these cases, the form requires the item detail to be filled out. Currently, there is not a way to automatically populate this item information using WebForms.

I would offer the following suggestions in order to pre-populate as much information as possible using the Defaults.

1) You can set a default in the Item Acknowledgment -> Item Status field as "Item Accepted." This way you will not have to select this option from the drop-down menu each time you fill out an item. Please note that you will need to make sure and manually change it any time you are not accepting an item.

2) You can set up lookup defaults on the UOM field in the Item Acknowledgement area. I think the best field to base this on would be the UOM field in the Detail -> UOM field. That way, you can set it so that each time the line item comes through as an 'Each', then you can set the Item Acknowledgement UOM to also source in 'Each', as an example.

Please let us know if you would like any further assistance with any of these processes, and we will be happy to help!

I will also make sure that our Product Management team sees your feedback to see if there is a way to automatically populate the Item Acknowledgement detail information based on the information from the PO.
