This is similar to several other questions asked, but it appears to be different for every client.  My POA (for Scholastic) gives me a choice between Acknowledge - With Detail No Change or Rejected With Detail.

I want to accept with change - there are some lines we are out of, one we can send partial quantities, and one that is not our title.  Either Acknowledge - With Detail No Change or Rejected With Detail will allow me to modify the Qty Ordered field, which is the only place that I can put how many units we can send, even though it logically isn't really the correct field.  Is there supposed to be a third type to choose?  The drop down list only has the two.  Shouldn't there be some way to leave the qty ordered as 50 and yet say that we can only send 35?

Thank you for posting in the Support Center!

Excellent question, usually, there would be an acknowledge with detail or change.  For Scholastic, however, this is not the case.  They only have these two options.

The usual procedure is to reject and indicate the needed changes on the form.  They will then send you a PO Change and you will accept that and apply it to the PO.  At times they also just send a revised PO as well.

If you have any further questions I would also suggest reaching out to your dedicated implementation analyst. They are still working with your connection and can add clarification as well.

Thank you for posting,
