Accessing document XML and workflow/related documents by URL

I am trying to link our ERP system to the document XML and relateddocuments that I can retrieve via the reporting portal at http://reporting.hosted-commerce.net. I found a way to get the file XML simply by using the file ID that we retrieve from the FTP (ex: https://reporting.hosted-commerce.net:443/OR/faces/adf.task-flow?adf.tfDoc=%2FWEB-INF%2Fflows%2FrenderRAWDocumentFlow.xml&adf.tfId=renderRAWDocumentFlow&parcelUid=8240695741) however i'm unable to do the same thing to get to the document workflow. The ID used in the URL seems to be a different ID which is nowhere in the initial XML we retrieve: https://wfds.hosted-commerce.net/wfds/relatedDocuments?docId=798669342

Any hint as to how I can retrieve this by using the same file ID I used in the first query (8240695741) ? Or any alternative way to achieve that?

Hi Gabriel,

The number at the end of the webforms URL above (798669342) is an ID internal to SPS; that document ID is not found in the data and is not searchable in Adhoc Reporting. My recommendation would be searching the parcelUID (8240695741, above) in Adhoc Reporting in the "Business Documents" tab, and then using the Document ID (PO or Invoice number) to find the document in Webforms.

Let me know if you have any additional questions about the above; I hope that helps!

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your reply. I am trying to reduce the number of clicks needed to retrieve this information and I would like to directly link to the relevant page in the Adhoc Reporting. Are you aware of any way to pass parameters to the Adhoc Reporting pages?

I tried playing with the URL a bit but it seems the only way is to POST data to this page (and even then i'm not sure it would work given how it is designed). The web framework used for this page allows defining URL parameters however they're easily discoverable from the outside. I was lucky enough to find something for the raw document contents but no success with the document flow. We have hundred of documents to review and I'd like to provide a direct hyperlink to the visual data flow from our application.

Thanks for your help,
Gabriel

Gabriel,

A new version of Adhoc Reporting is currently being worked on; I will relay your comments above to the product team.

Unfortunately, in the current version, there is not a "one-step" connection between the Adhoc Reporting page and the relevant document in Webforms.
