Hello,

I have looked into your request and checked all the specifications we have on file for Rite Aid.  At this time, everything is up to date and functioning properly.  We do create the check digits, but that is a normal process for many companies.

A typical process of obtaining a 12-digit UPC number is as follows:

  1. Purchase a unique Company Prefix from the GS1 agency
  2. Assign product number(s) to unique products making your number equal 11 digits
  3. Using a check digit calculator with your 11 digit number, generate your check digit.
If you have received information from Rite Aid concerning this 12 digit UPC process, please call in to Customer Support or email the information you received from Rite Aid in to us and we would be happy to review our forms and make any updates and changes.

We do not make any changes or updates, however, without express permission and direction from the retailer because when we make a change it will change the form for all of their trading partners.

Please let us know if you received direction from Rite Aid concerning this issue and we can take a look and make the necessary changes.

Thank you,

SPS Commerce Infinite Retail Power
